UNASThe Society exists to promote study and interest in the practice of Archaeology, to discover and investigate sites and the preservation of things of archaeological interest of all periods. If you are interested in Archaeology, whether as a beginner (total beginners are very welcome), or as an experienced archaeologist and will comply with its rules, the Society has much to offer you.

From September to April monthly lecture meetings are held, with speakers giving the benefit of their experience in local and national archaeological subjects. Opportunities exist for participation in all-year-round excavation and post excavation work for both experienced and beginners in various archaeological techniques – training can be given in finds research and fieldwork. An occasional series of seminars are conducted by various specialists in their subjects.
