Avon Valley Archaeological Society (AVAS) is an active and friendly society, running vigorously since its foundation in 1974.
They promote interest in, and study of archaeology for all; encompassing surveys, conservation, excavation and compilation of reports. A meeting place for those with common interests. Membership is drawn from a diverse range of people comprised mainly of keen amateurs with a handful of professionals.
There are three classes of membership:
- Full £10 for a year
- Full-time Student £5 for a year
- Junior £2.50 for a year. Adult accompaniment essential.
