LAMAS was established in 1855 to investigate the early history and antiquities of London, Westminster and the Middlesex area. A programme of frequent lectures is held at the Museum of London on a range of subjects from Medieval stone masonry to the Official London Blue Plaques Scheme. They publish a newsletter and a ‘Society Transactions’ which is free to members.
